Atanga Betrand Ngwa studied MPhil in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from KNUST's Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
His research interest is optimizing power systems and their integration with renewable energy sources and using nonlinear loads, focusing on mitigating harmonics effects and improving reliability and efficiency.
He worked on a project that uses algorithms to enhance the performance of a shunt active power filter for harmonics mitigation.
KEEP was of immense help to him by reducing the financial burden of pursuing an MPhil degree and providing him with the resources and support needed to complete his project.
He aspires to work in the energy sector, where he can apply his skills and knowledge to develop sustainable energy solutions, pursue further research, and obtain a Ph.D. in Power Systems Engineering.
