Collins Ampiaw MARFO

Collins Ampiaw MARFO is a graduating MPhil student from the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at KNUST. His research interests include Wireless Communication, Channel Modelling and Signal Processing.

He developed an Analytical Beam Training Framework for IRS-assisted terahertz communication systems utilising Uniform Cylindrical Antenna Arrays for his MPhil work. This work aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of communication links, addressing critical challenges of misalignment between transmitters and receivers in next-generation wireless networks.

The KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) has also been instrumental in supporting his academic pursuit through financial assistance and encouragement. Collins sincerely appreciates the staff and management of KEEP for their unwavering support. He also expresses his profound gratitude to his supervisor, Dr. Emmanuel Ampoma Affum, for his invaluable guidance, mentorship and continuous support throughout his research journey.

Looking ahead, Collins aspires to pursue a Ph.D. to expand his expertise further and contribute innovative solutions to the advancement of wireless communication systems.
