Kafilat Suraj Badmus is a graduating MPhil student from the Mechanical Engineering Department at KNUST.
Her research interests are analysing the reliability of Solar Photovoltaic modules, solar energy modelling, python programming and generating power from renewable energy.
She analysed and modelled secondary data obtained from three different climatic zones in Ghana to determine their degradation rates and reliability. She generated thermal cycles and power cycles for the three climatic zones and also went ahead to establish a polynomial relationship between thermal cycles and power cycles.
The KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) has been instrumental in her academic success by providing financial support. She is very grateful for the support and encouragement received from the staff and management of KEEP.
She plans to carry out further work in renewable energy, reliability modelling studies for other locations in Ghana and programming to analyse data sets.
