Congratulations Clement Nyarko Opoku

Clement Nyarko Opoku is a graduating master's student from the Materials Engineering Department at KNUST. His research investigates the effect of lithomargic clay on the hydration characteristics of limestone calcined clay cement.

In his master's work, Clement painstakingly analysed how lithomargic clay influences the hydration process, aiming to enhance the performance and sustainability of cementitious materials. His research holds significant promise in improving the durability and environmental impact of cement, a critical material in construction.

The KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) has been instrumental in his academic journey, providing the necessary financial support. Clement expresses his deep gratitude to the staff and management of KEEP for their unwavering support and encouragement.

He plans to continue exploring advanced materials and cementitious systems, focusing on optimising materials for sustainable construction practices.
