Elvis Gyamfi is a graduating MPhil student from the Mechanical Engineering Department at KNUST.
His research interests are Renewable Energy, Process Simulation, Optimization, Catalysis and Electrochemistry.
He modelled and simulated biodiesel production for his MPhil project from a mixture of waste cooking oil and kapok seed oil. He also synthesised and characterised calcium oxide from turkey eggshells, which could be used as a catalyst for transesterification reaction.
KEEP's financial support and internship opportunities have been instrumental to his academic success. He appreciates the guidance, encouragement, and training he received from the KEEP staff and administration.
As he enters a new season of life, he plans to pursue a PhD in Chemistry to continue advancing knowledge and innovation in his field.
