Congratulations Paul Victor Jatta

Paul Victor Jatta is a graduating Ph.D. student from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUST.

His research interests are biomass energy, clean cooking energy, and access to sustainable energy technology.

His research at the PhD level was focused on the characterisation of an optimised biomass clean cooking energy for domestic utilisation, Optimizing biomass-based briquettes.

This ensures that clean cooking energy addresses issues related to solid fuel usage effects such as health-related diseases, emissions, climate change, deforestation and the cooking needs of households. The study aims to mitigate such issues and develop a carbon credit strategy. The research also ensures the design and fabrication of a briquette machine. 
Additionally, he is highly interested in plant maintenance, planning and scheduling, and engineering reliability, which he has wide expertise in.

KEEP has contributed immensely to his study and stay in Ghana by providing all the needed support to complete his studies and improve his academic and research career. 

As he starts a new phase, he hopes to explore more in his field of research and contribute significantly to solving problems in The Gambia and Africa at large.
