Congratulations Seedy B. Fofana

Meet Seedy B. Fofana, a graduating Ph.D. student from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUST, from The Gambia. 

His research focus centres around the exploration of Design and Manufacturing, with a keen focus on integrating innovative manufacturing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, IoT, Generative Design, and Digital Twin.

During his Ph.D. studies, he concentrated on designing and developing a Smart and Flexible Manufacturing Systems Laboratory to serve as an educational tool for African Centres of Excellence. This model's implementation will encourage the utilisation of modern technologies and revolutionise Africa's manufacturing sector.

KEEP has significantly contributed to his scientific work, benefiting his academic and professional careers.

As he embarks on a new chapter, he aspires to delve deeper into his subject of study and make a meaningful contribution to addressing the issues confronting the manufacturing industry.
