Congratulations Seth Kotey

Seth Kotey is a graduating PhD student from the Computer Engineering Department at KNUST with research interests in Blockchain Technologies, Network Security and the Internet of Things (IoT).

His research focused on developing a decentralised approach to heterogenous blockchain interoperability. The main objectives of the research were to securely transfer data between blockchains in a decentralised manner, handle data conversion between different data formats used by heterogenous blockchains and implement and evaluate the proposed approach. His findings revealed the adoption of decentralisation in blockchain interoperability provided a more secure system with very minimal impact on performance.

Seth expresses his gratitude to the KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) for the very important role it played in the course of his studies. He acknowledges the financial support, encouragement from the KEEP staff and management, and the various seminars organised to help guide the outcome of his research.

He would like to thank his supervisors, Dr. Eric Tutu Tchao, Dr. Selasi Agbemenu, and Prof. Abdul-Rahman Ahmed, Mad. Christiana Selorm Aggor and the members of the DIPPER Lab, Prof. Emmanuel Akowuah, Head of Department of the Computer Engineering Department and the entire Computer Engineering Department.
