KEEP Honours Advisory Board Members during Special Dinner

The KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) team hosted a joint in-person meeting of its Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) and International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) members, represented by the IAB Chairman, Ing. Frederick Asare-Yeboah, alongside Ing. William Amuna, Ing. Nana Joe Mensah, Dr. Kwaku Aning, Dr. Victor Atiemo-Obeng, and Dr. Ben Asante. The ISAB delegation included its Chairman, Prof. Johnson Asumadu; Dr. Joseph Odartey Cruickshank; Prof. Muyiwa Sam Adaramola; and Dr. Richard Okine.

Following the productive board meetings and tour of labs and facilities, the KEEP team organised a special dinner to express profound gratitude for the members' invaluable guidance and steadfast support over the years. As a heartfelt token of appreciation, a custom portrait pencil drawing was presented to each board member.

Prof. Jerry John Kponyo, the Project Lead for KEEP, and Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering, personally presented the portraits to the board members. They emphasised that the artwork symbolised the team’s deep respect and appreciation for their selfless dedication and contributions.

In his response, Ing. Frederick Asare-Yeboah, Chairman of the IAB, on behalf of the board members, thanked the KEEP team for the honour done them. He reaffirmed the board's collective commitment and promised their continuous support for the project's vision and success.

Prof. Kwabena Biritwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering, also addressed the gathering. He extended sincere thanks to both boards for their impactful contributions not only to KEEP but to the entire College.

“With your support, we successfully established the Endowment Fund—a model the Vice-Chancellor has encouraged all colleges to follow, along with the advisory board system,” Prof. Nyarko stated. “Your guidance is crucial as we work to strengthen our ties with industry. We are committed, as a College and through the University, to fostering innovation and creating the jobs our nation needs.”

He concluded, “We are immensely grateful for your donations, your expertise, and your time. May God bless us all—our students, staff, and our esteemed advisors. Thank you for being foundational pillars of our progress.”
