Daniel Ocloo is a graduating MPhil student from the Materials Engineering Department at KNUST.
His research interests are Environmental Sustainability, especially in Waste Management, Wastewater Treatment, and Corrosion Studies.
For his MPhil thesis, he investigated the use of waste polyethylene terephthalate bottle-derived expanded graphite for water defluorination using response surface methodology. He achieved this through the use of plastics and the application of modelling techniques.
He appreciates KEEP for enhancing his knowledge through periodic seminars and financial support during his studies.
He plans to pursue a PhD in Materials Engineering, focusing on developing Membrane Materials from waste resources to solve environmental problems. He believes that for the world to improve, we must make good use of the waste around us.
