Congratulations Akwasi Adu-Poku

Akwasi Adu-Poku, a graduating PhD Bioengineering candidate from the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department of KNUST, celebrates the successful completion of his doctoral thesis. With five years of experience as an engineer and researcher, Akwasi has driven projects focused on bioenergy, solar PV systems, energy systems modelling, and environmental sustainability.

His PhD research focused on developing bamboo biomass estimation models for carbon stocks assessment, a critical tool in mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable biofuel production. Insights from his study have profound implications for Ghana's energy and environmental policies.

Akwasi expresses deep gratitude to the KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP) for its financial support, which has been instrumental in his academic journey. He also thanks KEEP's dedicated staff and management for their unwavering encouragement.
