Theophilus Baidoo

Theophilus Baidoo is a graduating MPhil student from the Chemical Engineering Department at KNUST.

His research interests are Life Cycle Assessment, Waste Vaporization, Renewable Energy, Process Simulation and Optimization.

For his MPhil project, he conducted a comprehensive environmental assessment of electricity production from the anaerobic digestion of municipal solid waste in Ghana. He focused on the case study of the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality. He found that the anaerobic digester has a high resource potential for addressing waste management issues and producing renewable energy sustainably for Ghana. His project can inform policy development for adopting waste-to-energy technologies in the country.

KEEP has been instrumental in his academic success by providing financial support and internship opportunities. He is very grateful for the mentorship, encouragement and training he received from the staff and management of KEEP.

As he enters a new season of life, he plans to pursue a PhD in Circular Economy and Bio Refinery Applications. He hopes to continue advancing knowledge and innovation in his field.
